Design is my passion. For over 10 years I’ve studied, practiced, or taught design in a variety of forms - from illustrating books for medical professionals to managing brands across 21 countries. We live in an exciting time where advancing technology is opening up new opportunities for business and innovative ways of enhancing people's lives. I’ve always believed that good design is underpinned by good research, and now I apply my design knowledge and experience to creating useful and joyful digital products for others.
Design isn’t about knowing the answer, it’s about knowing how to find the answer. Design is a process. When you experience a product, it was the preceding process that informed the quality, efficiency, and effectiveness of that experience. Creating a truly great user experience requires a process of research, experimentation, and testing.

I rely on user-centred research methods - such as surveys, interviews, observational analysis, prototyping, and usability testing - to provide quantitative and qualitative data that inform my design decisions. This means I don’t just design products that look great, I design products that work!

In the end, it's about delivering a fantastic product that people want to use. I approach user experience from a background in branding and visual design, with many years experience of sketching, using creative design software, and coding in HTML/CSS. This gives me the ability to work on a product from its conception to its delivery.
